What We Offer
Soft Power is out of network with all insurance providers, meaning we do not contract with insurance or communicate with insurance on your behalf.
Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment qualify for HSA/FSA payments and may be partially covered by your out-of-network insurance benefits. Many people receive 50-80% back from their insurance providers. You may request a super bill for out-of-network reimbursement.
Soft Power accepts all credit cards, HSA, FSA, or cash payments at the time of service.
Why out of network care may be the better option:
We have shorter waitlists and can often get you in for your evaluation within 2-3 weeks.
There are no surprise bills and you know exactly how much you’re paying for care.
With high deductible plans or high copays, the in-network options often have a higher price per session or ask you to attend sessions multiple times within a week. Sometimes they even need to schedule multiple patients within the same time block. In-network care can end up costing you more overall.
Out of network providers have time to work with you and care about your actual goals. Insurance carriers often impose restrictions upon the amount and type of care you may receive and deny claims for certain diagnoses or types of treatment which can leave everything annoyingly unpredictable.
With out-of-network care at Soft Power, you’re never passed to an assistant or an aide or just handed a sheet of exercises or a video to watch. Dr. Rebs will be with you for the entire hour every appointment and will always provide detailed information about your home program and why lifestyle changes and exercises are relevant to your symptoms.
At Soft Power, you have more control over your treatment and we aim to make it truly collaborative.
Occupational therapy is direct access in California, meaning you may book services without a referral. There is no limit to the duration of time or number of visits.
If you are pursuing out of network reimbursement, it is likely that they will require a referral.
Referrals can be faxed to Soft Power Pelvic Health at this number: (628) 895-2101
Please reach out if the cost of care is influencing your ability to take care of yourself. We offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments each week and can add you to the waitlist!
For Medicare beneficiaries:
Soft Power unfortunately cannot treat Medicare beneficiaries for covered services. Individuals enrolled in Medicare may book Pilates or general health coaching services. These sessions are non-medical fitness and wellness services and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or manage a medical condition.

General rehab and pelvic floor therapy in El Cerrito. Evaluation and treatment can be in person in El Cerrito or online through our HIPAA compliant virtual platform on Embodia.
Specialized treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, acute or chronic health conditions, persistent or chronic pain, hypermobility, Ehler's Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and nervous system regulation and support.
Pelvic floor therapy is for anyone looking for treatment for urinary or bowel issues, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum care, surgical rehab or preparation.
At your initial evaluation, we will discuss your history, symptoms, concerns, and goals. The evaluation will likely include a physical examination, which could involve palpation of relevant body parts and a movement assessment.
For pelvic floor therapy, an internal vaginal or rectal assessment may be suggested to determine muscle tension, flexibility, and coordination. If an internal assessment is recommended, it is important to note that you have the option to choose whether or not to proceed with this part of the evaluation, as it can be delayed to the following session or avoided completely.
Your therapist will ensure that you feel comfortable and informed about your options, and a treatment plan will be developed based on your needs and preferences.

Most patients come in for about 6-12 visits. Some symptoms can quickly resolve after a few sessions, but your plan of care will largely depend on individual factors related to your unique situation.
As much as we all wish there was a single exercise, a pill, an injection, or other quick fix for our symptoms, we all know deep down that this does not exist. We first need to identify the problem and then take a multi-systems approach to help you regain an active and symptom-free life that allows you to resume the activities you’ve stopped because of your symptoms. Some people will feel significant relief before they complete their plan of care and that’s always a win.
You’ll come in once a week to start and we can transition to every other week as you become more independent in self-management. My clients see the best outcomes when they take an active role in their own care.
The goal is to teach you the tools to help yourself so you don’t need us anymore!
