Accessibility and Directions

Soft Power aims to provide a space that is comfortable and accessible for people with diverse bodies and support needs.

The Soft Power clinic space is on the mezzanine level of El Cerrito Plaza, near El Cerrito Plaza BART Station. If you're driving, I recommend parking in the lot on the south side near the entrance to Trader Joe's. There is a fully accessible elevator and an entrance to a stairwell in the breezeway next to Trader Joe's.

Although the space is accessible by elevator and ADA compliant, there is a long hallway that turns several times before eventually leading to suite 717 on the left side after passing two single stall restrooms and a stairwell.

You’re welcome to use the two accessible single stall all-gender restrooms in the hallway. There is a key in the Soft Power waiting area.

The waiting and treatment areas are set up with seating options that can accommodate a range of body sizes, shapes, and mobility needs. Seating options include chairs with and without arms and a loveseat, all with weight capacities ranging from 500-550 lbs. The treatment table supports up to 500 lbs, and the Pilates reformer accommodates up to 350 lbs and individuals up to 6'6" tall.

The clinic does not use scented products of any kind, but cleaning can include hydrogen peroxide disinfectant wipes that some people may be sensitive to.

I’m happy to wear a mask and will default to mirroring your mask etiquette. If you’re wearing a mask, but you need to see my mouth when I’m speaking to better understand me, just let me know and I’ll take my mask off.

If you have questions about equipment, seating, or accessibility, please feel free to reach out prior to your visit so we can help ensure the space will work for you. If anything makes the Soft Power clinic feel like the wrong physical place for you, but you’d like to work together, we can discuss other options. Virtual sessions are also available.
